So I spent a lot of time over the last several weeks on Thrall grinding my Blacksmithing from 1-600 using nothing but ghost Iron, because I had fallen behind in my mining as well as my blacksmithing as I leveled up in WoW.

For a stack of Ghost Iron Ore, the server price is roughly 35 gold to 60 gold per stack of 20, depending on the day and you need over 10,000 ore to level your Blacksmithing up to 600. So figure out the math about how much you can make with 10,000 ore ;).

But for someone like me who didn’t want to go back to the old content and get the old materials and just fly around and grab all the ghost iron I could on Pandaria, I say do it. The levels go by fast but during the 300-500 point range you need to have 60+ iron bars of ghost iron to create a single craft, so it does become a bit tedious. But once you hit 500, its all down hill from there, and everything feels worth it.

For a huge amount of ghost iron resources in the quickest amount of time fly around the Valley of the Four Winds. In under an hour I had approximately 30+ stacks of ore ready to be smelted at Half Hill.

I have to admit though that there were a few times where I would use less materials than the guide actually said to use, and wound up with extra ghost iron on the side, which wound up being a plus for crafting other thing.
