AR15 Build

For those of you that actually follow what I do on Instagram and Twitter, and obviously on my Facebook page, you guys have noticed that I haven’t really been doing much in terms of the gaming department and that recently I’ve been talking about making my AR-15.

I bought my first AR-15 months ago from a local retailer that was going out of business for relatively cheap. Specifically it was a Special Ops Tactical AR-15, with the front A frame sight and gas block for roughly $900. Since then I bought a Vortex Optics Spitfire II Red Dot sight and a Magpul foregrip to assist. Honestly when I first got the rifle, my friend Rich, who is also building an AR-15, questioned me getting the foregrip because I had never shot a rifle before with it. Once I took it out the other week to fire it and sight the red dot in, I am actually in love with that foregrip. It puts the rifle stock right into the shoulder were it needs to be to lock it in place. I feel more steady with it, and easier to bring it right up to fire.

But we come to now, where I have all the parts sitting in the basement, ready to be put together. I’m excited to be doing this for the first time. I’ll post all the parts I bought if you all ask for it. This AR-15 is going to be a long range rifle, to the point where I can shoot at least 2 football lengths at targets without having any issues. For this I am looking at one of Vortex Optics X24 scopes, I believe Vortex is one of the best optics businesses out there.
