Dad and I are up at 610. Make coffee and head up to the lodge at 630 for more coffee. Breakfast was an egg, cheese, and ham casserole.
We headed to wolf island at about 8am and sat there for a little while. Wind and rain made it very cold and tough conditions. At 930 we braved the water to go sugar creek and tried our luck there. We got onto some bass but that was about it. At 1030 we tried heading to bassacre bay but wound up turning towards the lodge because the waves had risen so high due to the wind that we couldn’t go anywhere.
For dinner it was Joe’s famous barbeque chicken with broccoli salad and potato salad. There was a fruit salad for desert.
Dad and I decided to stay in since the wind was still making it very cold to go fishing. We fished off the dock and Dad caught three 23 inch, a 20, and 22 inch walleye from the dock. I caught breakfast and then a 18, a 20, a 22, and a 24.5 inch walleye.
We headed back to the cabin about 930 but I stayed up to let some people know of our adventure at the dock.
